Laurie Nouchka: Co-founder and visual artist
Laurie Nouchka is a visual artist, yoga practitioner and body worker. Her practice is influenced and informed by the body, spirituality and nature. Through mediums including drawing, breath work, body work and collective gathering she invites you to gain a deeper awareness of ourselves and the world around us.
As an original co-founder of Walls On Walls Laurie brings her 15+ years experience of community engagement, group facilitation and work as an independent artist to the project.
Gavin Styles: Community engagement
Gavin has over 20 years experience of working with hard to reach groups in their local communities.A trained filmmaker, Gavin has set up and run youth clubs, providing free professional film making training to young people within their local community.
His passion is in engaging and enriching the lives of those in socially challenged groups and he has extensive experience working with the elderly, sight impaired and children in SEN schools.
Having grown up in Camden, and as an early participant on the project, Gavin now brings his knowledge of communities and the issues affecting them, his communication skills and his love of art and creativity to the projects. He believes that art and creativity can enrich peoples lives and bring communities together.
Tullis Rennie: Co-founder and audio artist
Tullis Rennie is a composer, improvising trombonist, electronic musician, and field recordist. His work encompasses sound installation, community-engaged participative projects, multi-channel concert works, video, mixed media and live/improvised performances – presented at concerts and festivals across 20 countries, alongside UK national broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 and ResonanceFM.
Camille Revuelta: Strategy and partnerships
Incorporating her energy for collective action and social infrastructure, Camille supports Walls On Walls in partnership building and collaboration. Camille’s background is with third sector organisations based in the UK and globally.
Auclair: Audio artist
Auclair is a British-Rwandan musician and sound artist. Her work explores rhythm, voice and electronica and takes an embodied approach to exploring ideas with sound. Alongside a series of releases, her versatility has led to a wide range of multi-arts collaborations, installations, films, live scores and performances. She is part of the audio artist team at Walls On Walls.
Ryan Munroe: Choreographer
Ryan Munroe is freelance Choreographer, Movement director and Dance facilitator. Ryan facilitates and creates dance across the U.K which include a diverse range of abilities, ages and access to dance within both professional and community settings. Ryan's role on WallsonWalls was to facilitate movement with local residents, from creating dance routines through improvisational tasks to the exploration of what is to move around their local area, using their residential infrastructure and imagination to curate a physical perspective on and in the space. Ryan Munroe is keen to keep pushing the scope of where dance can be seen and live!
Emma Tubbs: Architect
Emma is an architect working in set design, art and architecture who runs her own London-based practice, Emma Tubbs Studio. She has experience working on arts and cultural projects, including Battersea Arts Centre Grand Hall rebuild from concept to construction, Oculus Pavilion on Store Street for London Festival of Architecture and a 10-storey artwork for the lightwell of River Plate House Finsbury Circus. Emma brings her knowledge and skills as an architect to work collaboratively with artists, designers and communities to creatively re-imagine the spaces in which we live.
Yasmin Lewis: Community engagement
Yasmin Lewis is a community support worker with a background in delivering support services to primary, secondary school, PRUs & community groups. She has over 30 years experience working with hard to reach audiences. As a lifelong Camden resident, she is best placed to act as the link between the artists, organisations and the community.
George Ellis: Filmmaker
George is a documentary filmmaker and producer working internationally and across multiple topics. His breadth of experience spans a long list of clients working across the cultural, architectural, hospitality and corporate sectors developing a unique documentary style.
